Located in the province of Ontario in Canada, Toronto is and is home to many festivals and events. When you are visiting the city of Toronto, be sure that you check out some of these festivals and events so that you can get the true feel for this Canadian city. When visiting Toronto, be sure to check out the following:

National Women's Show

Women who want to get out with their friends for a day out of pampering can do so at the
Toronto Convention Center and get all the pampering that they want. This event takes place the first full weekend in November and offers shopping, massage, entertainment and even food. The small fee is well worth the weekend of fun.

Royal Agricultural Winter Fair

Another November annual event that takes place in the city of Toronto is the royal Agricultural Winter Fair that includes an indoor horse show in the Direct Energy Center and Ricoh Coliseum. This is one exhibition that the entire family can enjoy and people come from all over the country to compete in this Equestrian fair. The entire fair is indoors and includes shopping, competing and fun. It takes place during the first two weeks of November.


Porcelain Show

If you want to see Porcelain art, you can do so at the annual Porcelain show that takes place at the Toronto convention center during the third weekend in December. Art porcelain both new and vintage is exhibited for show and sale during this festival. If you enjoy looking at fine porcelain, this is the event that you will not want to miss when you visit Toronto.

Diamond Show

If you have wanted to see not only some of the most beautiful diamonds in the world but how they are created as well as learn something about the history of diamonds, you can do so at the annual Toronto Diamond Show. This takes place on the third weekend of March every year at the Royal Ontario Museum. If you want to see some of the most brilliant diamonds in the world, you can do so at this show.

Wedgwood Exhibit

If you want to learn more about the history of Wedgwood, an English ceramic, you can do so at the annual Wedgwood Exhibit at the Royal Ontario Museum. This event takes place throughout June at the museum and features actual Wedgwood that was once owned by Catherine The Great.


Festival of Caregiving Annual Conference

Whether you are a care giver or if you give care to a parent, you can benefit from this large conference that is held each year during the first weekend of June. This is more than just a conference - it is a full symposium. It is sponsored by the March of Dimes of Canada and is held at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel. The conference discusses disabilities and needs for disabled individuals. If you have anyone in your family who is disabled or if you are interested in care giving, you should attend this annual event.
